<scp>NARRATING THE NATION</scp> : Heterotopian Struggles for <scp>Self?Representation</scp> in the Cuban Diaspora

Miami's sizeable Cuban diaspora has long used museums and galleries to produce preserve their sense of community, united through the loss inherent exile. Recent influxes migration from Cuba (and beyond) are increasingly interpreted as a threat cultural forms many consider an “authentic” preservation something now lost Castro's Revolution. Drawing upon fifteen months ethnographic research within several these organizations, this article argues that recent proliferation new museum spaces physical distribution across city indicate growing anxieties conflicts between diasporic cohorts.
